So Lewes is also known as the first town in the first state. Lewes was home to settlements from Europe. A look around town will reveal many aspects of Europe. Mainly Dutch people came and settled down here. Dutch traders made the Swan Valley as their trading terminal, which is used for commerce in whales, and other commodities.
